Could someone who does ADC work in the Southern US give me a sort of price list for Beaver, otter, coon, coyotes, fox, opossum, skunk, muskrat ect...? Talked to my game warden today about some public property to trap. We have been friends for years, and there aren't really any ADC guys in my area. He encouraged me to get a ADC Permit, and he would send some business my way. I just don't know what to charge. Per critter? per set? daily trap check? Could really use some help on this. I'm not going to get into it big maybe just a few side jobs. Thanks guys!!

Ghee thanks Jim you filled up my pm box . There is no way I can answer all that in my pm's .

You just had to day USA !

Change in plans tonight lets talk pricing tonight not the exact numbers as much as what you base your pricing decisions on.

I could also use help from those who believe in free inspections work or don't work to round the night out tonight.

Okay Rick, for those of us that are mentally challenged because of our age, what in the world is a stick and knife class?

Thanks Jordan. I remember now. I had to pass that class before I was allowed to get married.

Pricing by the animal is not the way to go, at least not for me. Some jobs I made money, most jobs I lost due to gas and distance to job. If you know several animals are there and the job is not too far, then by the animal may be good.

Also, another hint is to get the homeowner to check your trap in the mornings for you, that way you don't have to drive there every day and they feel a part of what is happening. Just don't let them touch your traps and watch out for them emptying your traps and not having to pay because there's nothing in your trap. I like to set my camera watching the trap without the landowner knowing it's there.

Try to read your customer and if need be, collect your money before you haul off the animal, then if they don't pay, you can release the animal right there where you caught it. Above all be courteous, I've had many repeat customers and referrals from customer. Hope it helps.

Join your state trapping association, you'll have many places to go for info.
