I thought that it portrayed the public's view of the industry, rather than mock a particular brand. This hurts everyone equally.

I'm not sure that any viewers but us guys got the connection between the real Critter Control or even if there was one. There has been some talk lately of the words "critter" and "control" being too general. We just enjoyed the skit without reading too much into it. I doubt that this will have any effect on anyone, either plus or minus. ( Unless your business is 90% opossum removal )

I don't think it hurt any of us and I don't think they or anyone was thinking about critter control the company either the producers or the viewers. I think it may have made someone who has had a wildlife issue and hired a professional appreciate the job we did for them. Critter is such a generic term I think only people in the industry think of them when they here the word critter.

If that is how the public views this industry...why would anyone hire us other than for comic relief?

the opposite of funny is unfunny and and more and more people know the unfunny side of hving an animal in their house. I don't thinkthe public views us that way. If I saw one of us on 60 minutes doing something like this it would bother me. Iembrace Bill Murray and this clip as the funny side and I'm the answer to the unfunny side of having an animal in your house.

I think with shows like Turtle Man, we needn't worry about some SNL skit. THAT'S the one we need to be concerned with. I've already had the offer to be paid in chicken eggs.

That is exactly the point. There is a snowball effect happening before our eyes.
