Menards had $30 drills on sale for $15 so I bought four of them. I know what you're going to say; "cheapest drills made, won't last 6 months, lucky if they work at all."

It doesn't matter. As fast as our guys drop them off of roofs, I'll still save a fortune. I used to buy Craftsmen drills because all the batteries fit in all the drills. I now have a lot of batteries because they can usually be salvaged after the drill is splattered all over the sidewalk. I won't need any chargers for a while either.

I went back to 12 volt,,,,

Milwaukee is pretty tough
It is also small and fit good under eaves
they make a right angle drill
a impact (my favorite for exclusion)
hammer drill
and a saws all that is nice.

Tools are sold separate without batteries in most cases

Letting our guys have Milwaukee tools? The next thing you'll want is for me to get them all Escalades too. I know I've got the Christmas spirit but I think a Christmas party should be enough.

I have had good luck with the ryobi one plus drills and other devices. I dropped a drill 24' onto a concrete pool deck, the battery and drill separated. The drill came apart and the battery went in the pool. I snapped the drill back together and fished the battery out of the pool and used it for several more years. You can get in the vehicle chargers for them as well.

Used Ryobi +1's for about ten years now, and now have the newest batteries (lithium ion, I think). Only problem with these batt's is that they go dead without warning. Not cool when I'm 100' from the truck and 40' up a steep roof.

We stopped using drills to make holes when we figured out that my 22 makes holes. We only use screws that fit into a 22 hole. We don't need ladders to make holes anymore. We only use the ladders to screw in the screws, into the holes. You are welcome.

And I suppose the next thing that you going to tell is that through experience you now know which jobs use shorts and which jobs use long rifles and for the tough jobs there is always the .22 magnum. And as an added convenience, no one hassles you in high crime areas. Okay, thank you!

Dewalt lithium ion batteries have a charge gauge on the batteries, or at least some of them do
