The only way of relocation would be to turn it loose on his grandfathers property. Any other form of relocation other than grandfathers will be illeagal in So Carolina........Good luck

A trap is only a trap if you dont know about it. If you know about it, its a challenge

You could always bring it up here. I have a guy who calls me on occasion wanting to know when I am gonna bring him a beaver for his pond.

Cheapest way is with a snare. I use Comstock, and Advanced traps for beaver. I wouldn't call them "cheap".

The measure of a man is what he will do when he knows he won't get caught.

You can catch them alive in leg holds to just put them on ten foot of chain or 1/8" cable

I've been using that technique quite a bit lately. It works better than I expected.

Vinke, how many swivels do you use (if any)?

3-4,,,,,, one at anchor point,1- 2 mid and one at base
I pieced together some left over chain so it varies....

I believe that it is best to place swivels at and close to the trap because that is the end that get rapped up

Long chains have extra swivel 2 feet from trap along with swivels as stated above

Thanks Vinke.

I use MB750's which have two swivels on a 10" chain and then I add a swivel every two feet and one at the end.

Rick, how about you? How about you Pesky?

I'm thinking swivels are key to this setup but there are probably other factors too.
