How do the fur buyers want them? I haven't the foggest of idea's how they want them. That is really my question I should of specified a little clear.

Most of the badgers I see are case-skinned, However, I skin both ways and have never been docked either way. For me, they are easier to flesh when they have been open skinned.

For the best dollars case them out, and leave the paws skinned down to the claws, be careful around the faces and ears,tail.

Put up fur out seek out the taxidermy markets for any silver tips or heavy prime fur ones. If you can't move it there your still more apt to get top dollar on a local level. Large auctions don't particulary care for the claw due to thier tumbling, but your still money ahead doing the extra work.

Badgers prime up late like cats so most are not even near prime yet, they may have the look of heavy fur, but when you see a fully prime heavy furred Badger your looking at a real nice expensive coat waiting to be sold.

Be carefull when your skinning around its junk....i did my first badger a few weeks ago and musta nipped somethin because that sucker STUNK!
