Ronnie Vicant (sp.) from the same state, was a student at the trappers college in '12.
He (Ronnie) traps for "turtleman" and then releases the animal for recapture!!

It is probably the most irresponsible wildlife show ever made. Even if it wasn't all staged, the stress he puts on these animals to catch them by hand is worse than if he shot them. I can't stop thinking about all of the young people getting bitten trying to copy this guy.

I would be lying if I said that I wasn't asked by a few of my clientele if I watched shows like Turtlenerd. My answer is not only standard, but true.

I simply explain that while I started to watch shows of this nature, I could no longer continue. I go on to explain that all reality shows are fake but that my expertise lies with the wildlife shows.

One of my examples is that the main character of the show is seen hauling a Havahart trap to the site and that Havahart is paying him to mention this. After the animal is caught, the main character is seen carrying a Tomahawk cage away from the site with the animal in it.

Now naturally the TV audience probably doesn't catch this little glitch, but we certainly do. This tells me three things.

One: The main character knows nothing about the animal he's supposed to capture, so he hires someone who does.
Two: We will sell you an inferior product because we are paid to and you won't know the difference.
Three: We do not care about the reputation of the people who actually do this work for a living.

By this time, the customer is more impressed with me than the show. And that's my object.

That's great, Wink! You couldn't make this stuff up!
I'm with you - can't watch that junk without my head blowing up.
