Looking for something to spread/spray to rid a crawl space of feral cat urine. Thinking of bleach, lime, febreeze bombing it..... good ideas? Bad ideas? Suggestions?

I would try and get rid of as much soiled sand as possible
Then blow fresh air in and dirty air out! Then fog it with
Something like citrus neutrox if your allowed to.

My first thought, when I read this, was dog urine. But then my mind doesn't work like most peoples. I am familiar, however, with the smell of cat urine and to be honest, I'll battle skunk odor any day! As I recall, I sprayed the offending area with some odor removing product ( In this case, I think it was Odoban ) for three days before I could no longer smell it.

Bear in mind that I have practically no sense of smell and if it was my wife or some other female member of our family, I would still be spraying and they would still be complaining.

Assuming that it's a dirt crawlspace, do test batches of a few different products offsite, using soil samples. I've heard that in cases of long occupancy/latrine use, cat odor cannot be removed even from concrete. You may be faced with removal of all the soil down there to a depth of several inches.
Do not underestimate the persistance of cat urine odor. Be sure to remove odor from all materials; the more porous the material and the longer the urine has been there, the bigger the problem. Charge accordingly.

I have used hydrated lime spread /applicated thru a hand pump duster being sure to do a thorough dust covering. It has worked very well for us for small decayed / decomposed animals and urine deposits. With animal decomposition problems the carcass should be removed or thoroughly covered with the lime to encapsulate the carcass as well as possible if it is small. If you can get to it take it out.

There are many odor masking products available that can be injected or atomized to help the problem as well but the lime has given us very good results.

Well i ended up using Sweet PDZ which is an ammonia counteractant for horse stahls. Lady said smell has cleared up! Hope this helps someone in the future. This stuff is about 15$ for a 40# or 50# bag i used one whole bag on a crawl space.

Since nobody else thanked you for this tip, I will. Sounds like a bargain and if a lady said the smell was gone, it must have really worked well.
