You could flip it open and there were buttons that you could press to call someone. There was a button to press to SEND and another one that said END. ( And of course there were a couple that I have no idea what they did ) That phone has been replaced by something called a phartsmone, I think.

This new gadget looks like a woman's make-up mirror. The first thing you want do when you pull it outta your pocket is to check your mascara and make sure your lipstick isn't smudged. There are no buttons so I tried holding it next to my head to see if it could read my mind and dial the number that I was thinking. No luck.

I'm guessing that the only way I'll ever be able to use this thing is if I call on the technological genius of Dave Salys to get me started. Dave, I'm holding this phone to my head and thinking of your number right now.

Modern technology at it's finest. I think you are on the right track, trying to figure out how to operate it! It's a Zen thing.

I am holding onto my flip phone as long as I can. No need for an upgrade in my opinion for my needs.

Lots of brand new old style phones are still available on Ebay if you want the same style you had.

Paul, I have seen my kids use these. You have to touch it and slide your finger across the screen. If you do it right, things happen, if they hand it to me, things happen, but then they have to take it back to get it to work again. I texted my son a message ONCE. I entered the start time and end time. Eight minutes to say what I could have said in eight seconds! I DON'T TEXT.

I sure can't use one. Every time I even think about touching it all sorts of funny stuff happens. The Daughter has one. Her Mom called her and then wanted to talk to me, All she did was hand me the phone. As soon as I touched it it hung up on the call, started calling someone else and a big picture came up on the screen of some kid she goes to school with that wore more make-up than her Moma! Yes, we had a chat over that one. She re-assured me it was a picture from last Halloween...... Oh, Lord!

You don't even have to use your fingers to text anymore. There is a feature that allows you to talk into the phone and turns what you say into a text message. Just make sure you ennuciate clearly or your message could be embarrasssing.

With my Samsung Note 3 I can write what I want to say. I can also get my customers signature on documents.

Paul I'm back from vacation, as seen by my new signature. Using my name and the word genius in the same sentence is my crowning glory. I've already decided when I can no longer have a big button flip phone, a check book and a printed yellow pages I WILL CLOSE MY BUSINESS. I hate technology that much.
Let's return now to the days of the old west, with a hardy "HI-HO Silver away".

What you mean, "we" Kemo Sabe?
