As I pulled up to a squirrel job Saturday to check traps, I noticed a few squirrels in the trees surrounding the house. I had 2 caught in traps next to the entry hole. Pulled one down, leaving the other squirrel in a trap up there, as nothing is a better attractant than a squirrel in a trap. I added a couple fresh traps. Within 5 minutes a squirrel jumped from a tree onto the house, and was caught in a couple more minutes. I ended up with 5 squirrels from that stop in about 30 minutes. The last one actually climbed my ladder to get up there, and was caught within 2 minutes of hopping onto the roof. I was sitting about 30 feet away in my truck, running with the heater on!

Hey, Hey, Hey, climbing is easy. So is falling. It's that sudden stop that I've got to work on. Those really are great pictures Ron.

I've got the opposite with these prepartum squirrels. Just my presence has been enough to throw them off their feed and out of the house.

Well, what would you do? Scramble around in the snow & ice, or use the handy ladder...?
