Your state laws would dictate what you are allowed or able to do with any wildlife taken during your activities.

Permits and laws are the best way to go for staying legal on your activity, though someone on here surely works in
your area, still best to know your states laws and regs.

My understanding of the various states regulations covering NWCO work breaks the options into two categories. One school of thought is no double dipping or profiting from wildlife caught on a nuisance permit. The other is as long as it coincides with legal fur trapping season then use it as you would one caught on a fur license.
My home state of Georgia is of the latter school.
This is basic generalizations of course and there may be variations unique to each state. For instance some states may require disposal of the entire animal while others may allow collection of glands or parts to include fur for personal use only and others may allow the sale of only finished products so it's local law that governs.

I'd also ask on the vatrappers website, if it was me.

We are not supposed to use-possess non-targets unless its fur season.

Under permit, out of trapping season must bury and no parts can be used.
Under permit during trapping season with added state trapping license you can keep animals

Mink and otter are not listed under nuisance permit, beaver is. Need to check trapping regs on there season. You don't need permit to trap beaver, but do need a trapping license, check trapping regs for whats possible.
Mink and otter do not fall under unauthorized animals on the permit which if caught you must report so they would fall under the trapping regs. Not sure what you do if caught out of season.

ut not sure what you need to do if caught out of season.
