Trapline mole traps will give you the best results with the least amount of skill in the beginning.Video clips will help get you on the right track. Other mole traps will work just fine once you master the setting mechanics of each device then knowing how to adapt to which ones work under which conditions the best.
Setting mole traps that must fire or pierce thru the soil can be challengeing for most when using them at first. There are some short cuts and basic details to making them work efficiently that must be done to make them work as needed.
They all work, however some are more user friendly and more efficient then others for one to master.Your proficiency will come with practice with each device. Some traps work well on shallow runs while others shine in deeper tunnel runs.
When setting within the actual tunnel runs you are on the money so to speak. You just need to practice in recognizing and establishing the better straighter runs to set. If you are a consumer wanting to do some serious mole trapping control you will need at least a half dozen traps of some type to give you the flexibility to move and re set as needed after a day or so of no results in one run, just move some traps to other runs until you hit pay dirt.
Some traps require 2 traps per set up to gurard both directions of travel of the run( no mole and trapline mole traps ), other types of traps only require one per set up.I have caught many close doubles using the trapline traps since our putting them into commercial use several years ago. Good little tools once you get on to setting them. Thank you for the help.

has no one used the Duffus barrel traps, I use them most of the time, I running out probably 85 traps at the moment, last big farm I billed them 265 moles, they are definitely worth trying.

quite often get double catches, has not been problems with other triggers firing ,I have a few of the trapline and I do like them, used o get them shipped from Steve Albano, but now we can only get them from Killgerm chemicals over here and they are a bit pricey, especially when the sodding Badgers dig them out and go with them, lose a lot of traps to badgers

What a great name, Killgerm Chemicals. Hey Brian, send those badgers to Wisconsin. We're the Badger State and I'd venture to say that 99% of the populace has never seen a live one. Does Bucky count?

Just come in for lunch, ithink were about 6 hrs ahead of you here.Been round mole traps this morning 4 traps dug out, 2 missing altother Badgers at work again, probably cost me about £40. you can have everyone of them if you want.this country is over run with the sods ,they kill ground nesting birds ,hedgehogs ,lambs ,chickens , ducks carry TB wreak havoc on lawns, and we cant do a thing about it, they have more protection than children.
