Eviction fluid works less than 50% of the time for me. I usually don't even try it anymore.

I have much better success with trapping mom and keeping her in the cage for a day or so and then releasing her on location. She usually will move the babies that night. On the rare occasion she don't move them I then trap her again and then hold her a second time. That has yet to fail.

I hate the idea of having to cut holes to get out babies. But I have had customers cut the babies out themselves and had them waiting for me in a box.

How do you catch Momma a second time?

Ole, your question is a little vague. I don't remember having to catch mom a second time. Often, I don't even "catch" her the first time. I knock her out, grab the babies, and take them all away. She doesn't become cage shy, but some them might get a little Paul shy.

@ c walker

For what it's worth, we just posted this (http://www.frontlineanimalremoval.com/mother-raccoon-removal-eviction-paste/) on topic.

Capture, hold, and paste is strategy if they are really hard to get to. If it doesn't work...there's always a way in for the right price.

Dave, usually several minutes. I hold then up for pictures and sometimes have to haul them out of the cages for more shots. Once they get outside they wake up fairly quickly. Sometimes, if I'm in a hurry, I don't even wait until they're asleep. Their reflexes aren't real keen and I just whip 'em into a cage.

Every customer is different when it comes to how you handle it , I hate cutting out coons but I've become good at it , makes a guy feel good when the client is amazed how you cut the hole right on top of them lol , seems I always get the pain in rear jobs , I took off soffit before I cut this hole , but alas it was the only way in

I give the eviction fluid three days to work with two applications. When she keeps moving the pups around the house, then its time to take the kids out no matter where they are. She'll leave after that. Battery powered SawZall will be your best friend.

I did two evictions with fluid this season. I'm at 100% success so far. Last season it worked every time, I used it 5 times.

LOL. I had to look at that pic twice, I thought that was some modern art hanging on the wall.

Is this the "last resort" on a cage shy raccoon?

I have thrown a conibear at entrance if I can hide it enough from neighbors, towel works. But you have to get the pups out. Get them now or later, still needs to happen. She'll usually leave after a couple of days when the kids aren't there.

Ran into this the other day , where they where living in the wall...the babies and/or mom had punched a hole in this wall of a concrete silo...stuffed a couple rags with Vanish on them thru this hole ....Nobody was living there any longer in the A.M.

You guys have way more patience than I do. I always like to leave a customer's property with 3 things. A female in a cage, babies in a bucket, and a check in my wallet.
