20 lb so I can handle it. I rent two tanks, having one run out on a Friday at 4pm happens too often.

I also use a 20 lb. tank. When you get older, you will understand why.

We have ten-pounders in rotation. This size was chosen for portability.

The cost of chloroform as sky-rocketed for me. If I'm not being too nosy, approximately what does it cost per animal to euthanize with CO2?

Depending on the time of year, i can get about $1.00 per animal. A little less in the winter. When the tank is outside and cold, the gas does not expand as much. So not as many fills per tank. Also, I try to get more than one animal in the box at a time.

With a 36 X 14 X 14 chamber, about 8-10 uses per 10 pound bottle. 10 pound bottle is $10.64 with tax. This does not take in to account start up costs with box, hoses, regulators, and bottle(s)
