Per a brief PM from the new owner:
Mike,
I saw your post...and Eric is spot on about things. I am the new owner of AAAC and we're hard at work making our company better than ever. There have been some changes in things but nothing over the top. If there is ever any questions about us or any thing we can help you with just call.
Brian Moss AAAC CEO 281-292-8866
Perhaps you should go straight to the source and give him a call if you are truly interested.

I would call franchises instead of the Marketer...

Mortamie, by now both you and your bride have got to know from the Internet that AAAC is now owned by Brian Moss from Houston, Texas.
The same Brian Moss that has an Anytime Wildlife franchise in the same area? I cannot answer that question.
For all I know, he may also own the Critter Control franchise for Houston. I don't know that either.
But if I were you, I would certainly find out!
What I can tell you is that starting out on your own was not easy for us. It was mostly my wife on the phone and me in the field.
Would I have joined a franchise if I could do it over again? No way. We are probably bigger than any franchise in our state. We
love the fact that we have seven family members working with us. ( And the two, three, four, and six year olds, can't wait to start!

would let me start at the PHD level? Piled Higher and Deeper ? Sounds like he's already in college Paul. Didn't you warn him before starting? I earned a Biology degree and ended up being a machinist and welder then a QC Manager most of my life...used the biology degree 1 year when I worked at our zoo.

Mortamie,
Take what your Business Professors tell you with eyes wide open. While in college, I learned that most of my professors had never set foot outside of the academic world. They started college at 18, grad school at 22, taught at the college for a couple years then started on their PHD. When they got their Phd they got a job at a university.
They could spout theory all day long but when you asked for real world examples that they had experienced themselves, most (not all) came up pretty short.
