I have some whole glands resting in urine right now. I plan on letting them age awhile then grinding. What can I use to get a paste consistency after I grind when I'm finally done adding everything.

Im not who your asking but Lanolin is naturally attractive in itself and helps thicken the consistancy. Lanolin is a oil derived from sheeps wool if Im not mistaken.
Lanolin is pretty expensive from what few trapping suppliers sells it. Heres a good link to one of the cheapest prices anywhere.

paJeeper I don't do my glands that way, so I may not be much help to ya.

I like to grind my glands while they are fresh. Its a lot easier on the nose - lol. Then I soak the ground canine glands in urine and let them age for three to five years before using.

Then I use them as part of a lure formulation and not by themselves.

I reckon a lure thickener would work. Many trapping suppliers sell lure thickeners.

I have used it in some of my homemade lures....

It doesn't dry out either...
