I WAS WORKING AT THE ANTIQUE MALL WHERE I HAVE A BOOTH AND A MAN CAME IN LAST SUMMER WITH THIS ONE HE SOLD ME,,,PRETTY ROUGH BUT NICE SPRINGS,,,,AND THE PRICE WAS RIGHT,,,,VERY FAINT MARKED IF AT ALL,,

Paul, Does it look like the pan was stamped? I picked up the price book by Andreski and Parr and am stumped about something. On page 47 it states that in 1865 pan stamping began and "All parts are machined except long link chain". Maybe I'm reading that wrong but I have seen too many stamped pans with forged springs to totally agree.
Any opinions from Newhouse gurus would be appreciated. Thanks,Dale

I would like to think slick but have my doubts,,,there is no wording visible on the pan but the pan is very rough,,,
