I acquired a crate containing 18 Blake and Lambs I'm guessing their are number 4 jump traps. They are pretty rusty I can hardly read name on the pan some I can't. How can I determine their age and value? I know they are not worth much more curious on age. My friend says they were his dad's they used to trap when he was a kid. Any help is much appreciated.

Take an old toothbrush and a squirt of WD 40 and see if that makes the pan more readable. The stamping on B&L traps was very light, so even when cleaned, you may not be able to read mch.

It might be difficult to pin down the age on those traps because B&L traps didn't change much over time.

If the springs are strong and there isn't a lot of pitting and deep rusting, this traps are probably worth about $10.00
