I have a 1 1/2 Victor longspring trap that looks to be very old. It has a solid pan without any cutout V in it. Are these scarce and does it have any collector value? It's the only one I've seen. It's in pretty good shape.
thank you
Jim

Jim, It depends on witch model it is. If you could post some photos it would help. The first Victors had a cast pan that was stamped "The Victor" on the top, started production around 1886. These came in a dog less model as well as the standard dog model. These also had bolted jaw posts like a Newhouse. The later "The Victor" traps had a riveted pan. There are a lot of different Victor models before the "V" cut out witch was started in 1910. Some with "Kenwood, NY", "Oneida, NY", "Oneida Community, NY" and several different paten date combinations. Of course condition is always important.

Thank you
This must be a later one since it has a riveted pan and reads 'Oneida Community' with a couple patent dates of 1902.
