Paul, I just arrived home, 10:00 pm Saturday evening from Sydney. Sale got over rite at noon today, there were some very nice traps that exchanged hands, you know how that goes the extremely nice stuff brings a good price, almost to the point of being too much, and the poorer traps not so much unless they are kind of tuff to find. Also there were some very nice and some rare ones that exchanged hands at the swap meet, Thurs, and Fri,. Sorry I don't do pictures, but I do know that there were a lot taken, There were a really Great group of people and we also had some good times. A lot of laughs, There is a story or two that goes with that, ask me sometime it's awesome. For anyone that has never been there, and you call yourself a trap collector, it is worth the trip at least once, really neat stuff, some things that you might never see anywhere else, Thanks Phil

Paul, It was good to see everyone again, and Phil is right in that there are a few good stories he will tell you. LOL. Wish you would have been there so we could have had a good bull session. I thought there were many more new collectors there as well as a much larger crowd. Some good traps there this year as well as some good traps in the auction. The #14 Square pan over round that was in the auction was a super nice trap and I believe it brought $2100. That nice #41 double trap brought I believe $400, and the diamond's that were in the auction went crazy. I think that #22H brought around $445 as well as even the common #21s were bringing unbelievable prices. I picked up several nice traps, as well as one in particular that has eluded me for many years. Finally was able to pick up a #1 & 1/2 Dwight for Roger also, but it was brought and luckily it did not come out of the truck and see the selling table before I saw it. There was a #25 there with machined springs for $19K and a #5 Abbey with super nice Base stamp for $16K. I saw one guy carrying a large box of Early rare lure bottle that must have been brought for him as I did not see them setting out. Everyone was able to find some traps they wanted this year. I brought a good assortment of the Signs, Stencils, Thermometers, and shipping strap tags that I did the two articles on and had them in the room. Many came by and were in total awe after seeing them hands on. Most of these were the doubles I had and many found a new home to the more advanced and serious collectors. The most important part of the show as with any show is the camaraderie of seeing old friends and visiting with them, and that to me is more important than any piece of steel or related collectable that you find. Many of us are getting up there and with each passing year some of us don't return for health reasons or passing from this earth. Bruce
