You must charge what you personally need to run your business and feed your family the way you know it has to be. Cost is relative tothose things, plus the market tolerance. There are people charging $25.00 to pickup a trapped animal, while others are over $150.00 and more.

I asked the same questions way back when before I started as I assumed this was a simple question. In reality it has nothing to do with anything
other than your true numbers, how much does it cost you to drive there, to insure yourself, to pay for taxes, equipment, labor, now how long will
it take you to trap the animals in question, what do you want to profit over your base costs.

Once you start down the road of what the true cost is it will shock some to see what they really need to be making to keep the wheels turning professionally.

More jobs per day means you could charge less per job, or you could make more per day, so many ways to look at it, how many squirrel jobs do you
plan on doing per day/ per week/ per month, how many cages do you need, how often will you check them, are you doing per animal or per project?

 Hope that helps.

Get into your real needs and numbers, there are many posts on this subject if you use the search too!

 Best,

 Justin

Ca requires an exam, pretty tough one too.
Cal cage, price for you is going to be far different from the guys on here. I think u mentioned, that you were around 16. Unless you plan on goi,g legit, which would be good for you if you did, you won't be paying licenses, advertising, insurance, and all the headache to come with that, , so your cast is lower.

You also aren't trying to support a family, I assume. So your needs are less. You would also probably be stoked working a few hours a week making 10-15 an hour doing this where some of the guys need to bring,in 75-100 an hour.

Take as many jobs as you can that you can handle at a time and no more, don't get overloaded. Try to truly solve them all and learn everything you can. No matter what you charge you will adjust as you go.

Check your state laws, here in KY you have to be 18 to be licensed as a NWCO.
Of all God's creatures, only the honeybee improves the environment and preys on no other species.
