Hey fellas, I'm using belly boards but, still find it difficult to remove the hides from wood boards. Are there some techniques yal use to make it simplier for you? Any advise is appreciated. Thank's, Brad

If the only dog you can hear in the hunt is your's, your probably missing the best part of the race.

Try removing your furs a day or two sooner. Which I guess I should ask "how long are leaving fur on the boards?"

After you remove the belly board tap the board on the floor a couple raps if it sticks, they usually slide right off.

Grab the fur by the neck/shoulder area & bang nose on the floor.

Oh, I hope your pelt is fur in. If not you may have to go to other extremes...

Brad with the humidity we have had this year, I have had a number of hides that would not come off also. I have had to use my wench with a pair of vise grips on the nose and a vice grip on the board. Once it move a 1/16" they will pop off. Have you had any problems with the humidity?

You can't fix stupid, but you can vote!

it is hard to explain my method, but it works well,i use a small pair of visegrips, i do not clamp on nose or hide at all, with nose on floor and base up with your hands on it, i put the visegrips layed down flat on its side with the clamp part on the belly side, just below nose in mouth, but not clamped, i put one foot on top of pliars, the other foot on back side of board by head to keep board from moving sideways, pull up and the foot on top of pliars, resting on bottom of nose well pull hide of nearly every time, if not after a 1/2 dz. trys it usally comes, sometimes have to rap nose on floor a few times
