Hello All,
My daughter lives in a towmhouse complex of 6 units each, they have a rat infestation going on, they are in the attic area, do you normally exclude first and then trap or trap first then exclude?
Thanks,
Doug

Always have live traps going during rodent work, and if using rodenticide I'd plan on extra trips out for the ones that don't make it out. If you're the one doing the job, I'd be sure to type up a detailed contract in what you're responsible for, as they all should be but for rodent work especially if it's an infestation of rats. Will you be removing insulation (if any) and repairing ceilings/walls if need be, or sub'n that out? Cross your T's and dot your I's because once you start work on one of them townhouses you own it without a good contract. Good Luck in the removal.

Smile, you're an expert!

We will normally not use poison where rats can end up dying in walls, floors, and ceilings. Trapping may sound more expensive to the

customer but in the long run is probably cheaper.

Thank you all for the input. The contractor started with the exclusion first, then set traps, so the cleanup/cleanout is underway.
Thanks,
Doug
