Had a call for a hawk trapped in a warehouse yesterday. Beautiful red tail. He wa a little beat up from banging on the windows 20 feet up. There was a door on both sides of the building that went up to about 3 feet from the top. I asked them to open the doors and I tossed the end of a 3/16th inch thick rope up to the bird a few times to get him moving. Eventually, he turned from the window and flew out the door. FREE BIRD AND $120 in my pocket! Everyone was happy and the terminal manager took my information for future calls. Hope the bird found water and a place to rest quickly. I believe he made it, but I don't think he would have made it another day.
