On Tuesday December 22nd, friends of our family, that live a couple of miles from our place, had their home broken into and robbed.

On Wednesday December 23rd, it became apparent that these thieves were a product of the Milwaukee Public School System. They took part of the loot to a local pawn shop and pawned it. Because you have to show your driver's license to pawn something...............

On Thursday December 24th, these crooks were caught and thrown in jail. The End

Well it wasn't our home but I too hope our friends get everything back or at least enough insurance money for replacement.

True story: At our previous house, burglars (apparently on break from Rhodes) took several small electronic items--what they could carry on our bikes--and rode same bikes directly to nearest pawn shop.
It just so happened that the cops were sitting near the pawn shop, and saw the two Rhodes scholars ride up--one of them on a woman's bike, mind you--with arms full of small electronic devices. The police decided to look into the situation.
Many years later, the geniuses remain wards of the state.

Thanks Dave. I actually have the whole thing vividly pictured in my head. I shall fall asleep laughing.
