Get some good trap pics , make us all jealous.

I seem to remember hearing a story about a guy that worked his way through that show, buying up a bunch of rare traps, and used bad checks to buy them! I'm wondering ... was the thief ever caught? Might have been a different show though because I can't remember, for sure.

Olmstead mole Trap 16" tuff size to find,Otto Kampfe mouse trap, 2 Ketch Em traps, Ayres rat trap, Flo trap, Bird net trap,
some bench made mouse traps and other odds and ends. Obviously I am not capable of focusing on any one type. Had a ball visiting in the rooms, tailgating, seeing some really rare show and tell items and catching up with friends. Can't wait for Orwell, then Williamstown Ontario, and finally Kalamazoo. It's going to be a busy year!

Good show Bruce. SORRY no pics.I picked up an 81 1/2 with Standing Bears, a #0 Canadian Newhouse, and the nicest #1 Victoria I have ever seen along with a few others. Great to see all the guys again and a few new faces.

It was nice to see some old friends, and make new ones. The weather I think was a factor for many not showing. Saw a few nice Nisbets change hands, and there was a rare #1 & 1/2 Duplex in the auction. We left after the business meeting Saturday Morning, so I do not know what it brought. Not many bear traps there this year, but did see a very nice #15 Kenwood with Trip Hammered springs sell at the inside meet on Friday. It was great to see everyone there, as we are all getting older and we never know from year to year who may or may not be there, the camaraderie and friendship is more important to me than any piece of steel will ever be.

I would second that Bruce. There was quite a number of the most knowledgeable trap collectors in the world at Sidney. Any one of them is more than happy to share their knowledge with us that have questions. That is what makes the Sidney show so great each year.

Here are a few that I picked up at Sidney. Some I had purchased before the show and had delivered there.

The Duplex brought $800, which was the reserve price.

I like that 4 1/2! It's got a great pan on it.

Nice traps Martin...couldn't make it this year fortunately a good friend picked up a trap for me from the show.

The duplex was not a bad trap. Pan had a weak pan read and the long cast 8 chain was spliced in a couple places. The guy bought at an auction in Pa. Don't think he gave much for it as it was just a regular auction and it was in a box of other traps. You never know what might turn up.

Jerry That was a steal at the price you told me on that #4 & 1/2 Kenwood complete. Glad you picked up a few nice traps. Send me a picture when you get those OC shipping strap tags framed. Good to see you there again my dear friend.
