What is your method to keep them from sliding all around your vehicle?

I've been using bungey cords, and am thinking about building a double egg crate sort of thing that would hold them close to the tailgate. But if you've found a really great way to keep things organized....

Putting a sheet of plywood on the bottom of the bed will give you a place to screw things down where you want them. I assume you want to be able to grab/remove a bucket, so a small frame to locate them should work great.

Use an adjustable cargo rod to hold them against the tool box or tailgate.

Let's see...

1 bucket top vacuum.
1 bucket of mouse traps
1 bucket of mole and vole deterrent
1 bucket of final blox
1 bucket of copper mesh, gloves, etc to keep it from rolling around in the back of the truck.
1 B&G which sits in the back during warmer weather and in the cab in cold.

Also the occasional bucket from the side panels that doesn't make it back into the side after the job.

Depending on job, I keep what I need for each different location in a bucket, may it be self tappers, concrete screws, tools. Hate waisting time looking for somthing I need.

I like a bucket for dead squirrels. Never fails though, I'll miss the bucket and find the squirrel weeks later. Not bad in winter, but summertime sucks. My truck only gets cleaned out maybe quarterly, so it's always a mess.
Like EBL, buckets work great for rat traps, mole traps, copper stuff it, rebar stakes, tools. Plenty of uses for buckets on the job.
I just put them in the back. There's so much stuff in my truck they don't move much.

Agreed! However it helps to cut the fears of clients when you finish the job.

I love the bucket for mouse traps. Ever find the sill plate in a basement >>><<< much taller than you can reach? Stepping up on that bucket gets me to the sill. It also holds my jar of pb.

NE, next time you're in the Milwaukee area, stop in. I'll give 20 or 50 buckets. You'll find uses for 'em.
