I'm just learning this stuff with the videos and had the settings wrong on the camera so the file was too big to put it all on one video so even though its only 3.5min. of footage I had to put it into two short clips. I've corrected the problem now with the camera. Hope you enjoy...

Sweet, I know a guy that skins coyotes like that too, but uses a hand winch instead.

If you lop off the front legs before you hang the coon you can elimante the the work arond the front legs and just pull right to the ears.

Thanks for posting that.
I just got back to trapping last year,after a 20 year break.
Seems they're making critters much tougher (and heavier) these days! Heck even my traps weigh alot more than when I was young!
I may need to put one together for next season.

WOW! what a great video set. What do you have welded inside the jaws of the vice-grips? (re-bar)? size and length? Also do you think it would work with a "Choker" style gambrel in the event that You have a chewed leg, or accidentally cut the tendon?
