Glands In rats at this time of year are worthless you will have to wait Till spring for them to be of any value.

My rats have good glands in em' right now, but that can vary from state to state. they just pull out basically. When you skin the rat their close to the testicals on the male. Their white'ish colored and spongy. The testicals are more of a clear color and harder in texture. You can pull the glands out with your fingers.......

Just skin the rat and you will see the glands they lay between the hind legs and lay right on the suface just nip them off. But like I said you will have a hard time seeing them now but come spring they will fill up and be very easy to see.

My rat glands are just about as big as a thumbnail this time of yr. The rats in this area start making glands in mid jan. I sold close to a 1/2 gal of the last yr. Started saving them when they are nice and plump.

We don't get full good glands till march and later. All our rats are under the ice now. But once the ice goes out Kattie bar the door. But of coarse our rat seasion Is closed by then.

thats the problem Beav, by the time glands get good most seasons are closed. Hence the outrageous price...
