Got yellow jackets under my siding. Wife is highly allergic. Been hitting then with wasp and hornet spray. Filled the entry point many times with the foaming spray. The spray has killed just a few most seem unaffected. What can I get locally that will kill these darn things?

Were they fresh can's? I've never seen or heard of YJ's that are immune to killer spray's.

Me either. That stuff usually cracks them pretty good. Don't know how old the can is. Getting some raid wasp and hornet spray and try again.

Automotive brake cleaner puts them down good. But WILL stain/discolor siding or painted surfaces. .

And is EXTREMELY flammable, and may well deteriorate the wood.

Thanks guys. Ended up killing quite a few with the spray. I'll get some dust and give that a shot. Don't want them please pushed farther into the siding. There is a crack in the foundation there which makes me wonder if the nest is actually under the house I instead of under the siding.

Well you guys were right. Killed a hundred or so outside the entry point. Now they are coming out if the siding about two feet from the first opening as well as the original entry point. Put a wasp sticky trap in front of it. One side is catching quite a few. The only seven dust I can find is 5%. Will this work? Gave them a shot of it at the second entry point. They are crawling through it to get into the siding.

Rob for longer seasonal protection against the YJs get some of those YJ containers that you hang up around the property. We use them here at school around outside track and garbage can areas like tennis courts...some of those containers are totally filled up with bees. Mountain Dew is an excellent attractant for the YJ traps.

Never thought I would be happy to see a hard freeze. Gave them a good dose of seven after dark. The sticky trap I set in front of one entry has a bunch on it and one wasp.
