Depends on how busy you want to be, Some advertise on the web, local papers, yellow pages, ect. A lot of my work comes from town highway depts., State DEC., & word of mouth.
John's Nuisance Wildlife Control If you like what you do for a living, It's better than a vacation. Most days.

I think the question should have been "how do people find you" for ADC jobs. I've been doing this for 27 years, and haven't "looked" for a job yet. Various forms of advertising, with the best results from word of mouth..... which takes TIME.

Mostly pest control referrals. Once you have that you should look at interenet, it is what the majority uses now. We are having our websites rebuilt for around $1500. There are some good directories you can use, that we do that are cheaper in the short term. A lot of people use mike hurleys with great sucsess. http://animalcontrolsolutions.com/I use this one for pretty solid leads http://batsintheattic.org/

I did the flyers in the feed stores, I got the web site, I've passed out business cards, been to the police station and sheriffs office and networked until I got tangled in the webbing! Very little effect. For better than two years now, I've had a web site, a Facebook page, a Google business page, a listing on Angie's List and Craig's List. From all that online exposure, I've received, to date, ZERO calls from any of it!
Where I still get most of my calls is from the local Animal Shelter and from my uniform shirts that I wear every day almost everywhere I go. Passing out cards at realty offices helped me a great deal. I have two different realty companies that call me regularly for everything from snake inspections to squirrel removal to bird screenings.
Good luck.

Word of mouth and a super nice owner of a pc company. I'm not full time either but sometimes I have all I can say grace over. Moles, beaver, raccoons, and squirrels. Pretty much in that order too. I'm really really wanting to get more involved w/ residential skunks and lots more beaver work. I love em and they pay well.
