Can anyone help with info/value on the trap in the center? I will try to get some more pictures later. I believe it is a Cortland #1. Most pictures I find show two ribs inside the upper jaws. This trap only has one and does not appear to ever have had the other set. Pan is not legible. Thanks for any help.

Two piece riveted base (1888-90) or single base (1890-92).

Both show a book value of $300 in "good" condition. You say the pan is not legible so I'm not sure where the value would fall down to. Very cool trap either way!

The one-piece cast base model was later, 1890-92. If it has one partition between the 2 jaws it is a #1. If it has 2 partitions its a 1 1/2. Looks like the original chain from your picture. If pan is not readable ( And many of the later models had poorly stamped pans) I would value it less than $300 IMO.

Another way to tell- A #1 has 12 teeth on the jaws. A #1 1/2 has 14.
