I picked up a few of these traps and was wondering when they were made. Nothing special about them just don't ever see them around.

I don't think there were factory made. I put togather around 7 doz 15 years ago for mink and coon when I was walking in a few miles to run a line.mine had about 3 feet of # 2 machine chain and 2 swivels attached to the base . sold them to a guy in montana I think.

These are machine finished on both sides for long springs unlike the regular #0s I have but you could be right. I actually picked them up in Montana.

Took a couple pictures

The double long spring has a tab on both sides

The single has the tabs on one side but not the other

The picture does not show as good of a view but they are very different.

Not a big deal just curious about any info

There are variations to this trap as I have several Vic O's that have 1 spring but the Jaws have tabs on both sides. These were made as interchangeable jaws with either side being correct for assembly. I have several single LS 1's and 1.5's of the same style where either jaw could be used for either side. Don't know the exact date when this was used but I have a couple like that made in Niagara Falls Canada (so says the pan). For awhile around that time frame Vic was made with that jaw type in both U.S. and Canada. My view (which is sometimes all wet).

Ive never seen any double 0s advertised in any old catalog. They are easy enough to make yourself.
