I'd like to have something that will allow me to have my baits/lures in some organized manner. Now I carry them in a bag but it's a little sloppy. What do you guys do to keep things in some organized fashion?

I use an ammo box to store them.in off-season. For checking and setting, I bolted an old carpenter belt with pouches to outside of a five gallon orange bucket. The lure and bait jars even urine bottles fit nicely in the pouches and are on outside of the bucket. Hammer, sifter, other tools and couple traps and stakes (when setting) go inside bucket.
After sets are made, I have another bucket smaller one that I just put some lure and bait jars in.
I've also used an old bird hunting vest and that works really well for checking sets. The twelve gauge shotshell holders on outside of the vest I have are closed on bottom and hold one ounce lure bottles very well. Couple front pockets hold bait jars, and the bird pouch in back holds a trowel, pliers, and wire. Hands are free then to carry catches.
I walk a good portion of our lines so this works for me.
Jim

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Can probably find trays to fit inside. I wouldnt though, I need all the room I can get. I've got three for four cans filled with baits and lures. Hate to think how much $ I have in those things...

I run a large Huskie tool bag just a little over two feet long. Has multiple pockets on the outside which holds two baits, and urine (there's more pockets that's just all I run). Then there's room in the inside to carry drill, driver, sifter, hammer, and traps. One stop shop for everything, and I beat the heck out of it. Think I paid $30 for it at Home Depot. That and a bucket of peat, and I'm off to the races.

I use a parachute bag made by Bucket Boss. Check out Amazon for Bucket Boss there are a lot of different things made to fit inside and outside on a bucket. The parachute bag can be used with or without a bucket and holds bait and lure bottles just as well as the nails, screws it was designed for.

Looks like a muzzleloader box. not a bad idea. an old plano tackle box would work. find what works for you. i got a tool bag at harbor freight for 8 bucks for my gland lure, and i keep my baits and urines in the old metal ammo cans.

I use a Dewalt, or Stanley fat max tool box, the one with the rubber gasket in the lid. Waterproof, tough, and durable. It's big enough to hold all the lures, baits, and urine that I use, plus a can for wool, a lure poker, and gloves.

In the back cargo section of my SUV (Terrain) there are pockets on each side(part of the truck). They are about 2 ft long and 1 ft wide and 8 in deep. I got some Styrofoam wine bottle holders from an empty wine case and trimmed them to fit. They can hold a couple of 4oz lures or 16 oz squeeze bottles of fish oil or urine etc. They don't rattle around and are handy for road trapping.

harleydparts , Menards and many places have the plastic ammo boxes.

Small 6 can coolers and small soft side coolers work well for bait or lure .
I don't keep bait in the same container with lure .
Usually only 3 or 4 lures also .

Simplify your methods to the point of perfection.

Become fast,efficient & effective.

The real "SECRET" to successful trapping.

KEEP IT SIMPLE!

I keep mine in 4 x 4 pieces of lumber in which I have drilled holes to fit the various size bottles. It keeps the glass protected.

I have several - one for each species.

Cost me nothing and works.

I've been using an old plastic 18" craftsman toolbox. Works awesome. I use small pieces of wood as dividers between canine and water critter lures. Won't fall over in the back of the truck and I can strap it down easily anywhere on my four wheeler. Haven't had anything spill this year.

Used to use gallon bags or ice cream buckets. Buckets worked well but were hard to strap down and couldn't get many lures in it.

I have a tool bag I got from Walmart that has pockets on the inside and out. There is room for bigger bait jars inside the main compartment and room for my sifter and hammer.

I use one of the cheap lunchboxes from Walmart. Has plenty of pockets on the sides. Doubles as a dry dirt carrier with sifter and trowel on top of dirt. Wrks great
