Bandy Is that a healer? How does it do?, I have a healer I would love to train to go check traps with me, but he is wilder than a peach orchard boar, not sure I can slow him down enough.

She is a healer airadal and cur she is a female so that helps a lot the best way I have found to break a dog is work them on a long leash it makes them put 100% of there attention on you.
No matter where you go there you are.

Well this is it for me and Gus. Hanging it up for the year. Too much dam snow for foot traps now. He was along for every single catch. He had a great 1st year and I am sooo glad I decided to get a trapline dog. Nice pic....
Thought I was a good trapper until I started trapping coyotes...... Thought I was a good bowhunter until I targeted mature bucks....

This thread has interested me from the start ! Now that I’ve lost my old dog it’s gonna be a long wait till spring. Would you guys recommend the Dorn dog over the Jag ?

They get along great. I think they will be a good pair. The new pup will be quite a bit smaller than the cur. Hopefully they get the decoying game figured out as well.

Great pics everyone! I haven't checked in on this thread in a while. I'm glad to see it's still alive.
Gus has been kind of a pain in the (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) since I pulled traps. Poor dog needs a job!!
