What is the most coyotes caught consecutively in one set(as in catch/remake,catch/remake, etc)? Is 5 normal?

I got 4 coyotes and 1 red fox in the same set this year.

The most I've caught was 7, 3 or 4 is fairly common, if you're on location.

Most for me was 6. I don't think there is a hard and fast rule and instead a lot of variables which come into play. Five isn't abnormal...per se.

Think mine is 3 coyotes and a cat with a couple of coons and a skunk thrown in for good measure.

0. Have been trapping coyotes for 2 years and have not had 1 catch on a remake. I have tried everything and can find no reason why. Sometimes there will be tracks right on the edge of catch circle, but won't commit. I even went to a choke pole for dispatch, so no blood on site. I can't figure out what to do.

I've been watching my coyote catch circles in the snow for years...other coyotes avoid them like the plague. I now just pull the set after a catch and put in a new set nearby. Might be a local thing.

Had one once do six in six consecutive checks.

I got a spot I've caught 11 coyotes in the past two season's
I caught 4 tom cats a 3 coyotes in a another spot off the side of an oil well location

3 for me than a 4th one abput 10yds away

3, same spot snare connected to the same tree, just kept fixing up the area after each catch. After the 3rd there was no more hope. The area was completely leveled.

I've caught 3 pretty regular. I usually have 2 or 3 other sets close by so I usually don't catch all the ones in that area in same set. I've got 2 places that I've caught 6 coyotes within 30 yds of each other this year. I've got to using a step down trench set for my remakes if the area is messed up and it's been working really well.

Had four last year and missed the fourth by about an inch. Three this year in five days and pulled morning of the third one.

Have caught 5 coyotes in one trap set and numerous coons and possums too...just kept remaking it.
BUT liker archerguy referenced have also had avoidance....today in the snow, a coyote approached a remake and wouldn't commit to where the trap was blended. Ground here is like iron so new a set was going to be tough...left it alone as I've got multiple sets nearby.

7 from one set 20 from that location out of 7 sets. Location was set for 3 months. When populations are normal 5 from a location is close to average. Multiple sets is better than just one.

The only avoidance I’ve had was after a badger catch. I usually catch three to five coyote per but I have caught as many as seven.

About 3 years ago I had 2 sets where a treeline formed a T. There is a farmlane crossing where the treelines meet. I had a dirt hole on the left side of the road and a flat set on the right. Neither were touched for 10 days. Day 11 had a coyote in the flat set. I took a coyote the next 4 days in the dirt hole and another the next day in the flat set. Typically I'll catch 2 or 3 at that location.

On that same farm I've snared 3-4 coyotes plus coon and fox in multiple fence crossings. During the 3 week period I caught those 6 at the crossing, I snared 13 around a 35 acre pasture on the same farm

A bit off topic but felt it'd be of importance here....what attractor do you use for your multiple catches at remakes? I'll start....Charlie Dobbins went into detail about wild canine psychology in his writings...he felt a good food lure increased the chance of attracting another predator into the set based on "greed." In other words, the approaching animal thinks it'll get a free meal at the set. I like to used a quality bait but have to admit that I have used other lures and have had success. It seems at some of these remakes a guy could use almost anything and conect.
