I've heard it is difficult to get mink glands to hold their odor for very long in a lure formula. Anyone have good way to fix there odor that they would be kind enough to share with me?

Most all glandulars and other ingredients will soften to some degree over time. Mellowing from the sharpness they may initially had is just the way it is. It will never be all gone. There will still be plenty of odor for animals to detect. Synthetic odors will tend to hold longer at times.

All odors are volatile some to a more or lesser degree then others when exposed to the elements in open air settings. Depending upon the amount added to a formula and how good they were to begin with. I have products that still have a good mink gland odor from near 30 years ago now. The odor is still quite noticeable.

Zinc valerate will help a little.
