Hope you didn't salt those trap beds!

I dont use salt cause it usually (this week being the exception) doesnt ever get cold enough to freeze traps down. I had made a few catches at that place so i may have sifted some dirt that had pee on it back over my set during a remake. I didnt use any pee for lure either. problem was there were no cows in that pasture when i set, but the hands that work that place moved the cows around and noone let me know. They have stepped on my sets and the normal stuff and that didnt scare me too much, wasnt too worried about catching one in a 550. But when i found one that had been licked lever to lever that did it for me. should have taken a pic of it. Pan was just as clean as could be. well...a little slobbery.

Well... the weatherman was right. And I can now mark trapping in the snow off my bucket list...lol. Sure don't look like South Ga this morning.

You can sure see a remake in this white stuff.

Walking in this stuff is noisy.

Enjoy the winter weather while you can. We were there for the "blizzard of 89" and got a real kick out of how everyone seemed to think it was the end of life as they knew it.

5/8" rebar. I sliced the washer slot with a chop saw. The jhook groove I did with a hand grinder. Made one side a bit deeper that other.....allows jhook to seat better.

Was videoing snow as I was driving down highway this morning headed to check traps. Dang idiot driver swerved a little in front of me and that was it. He slid sideways, over-corrected and about screwed up bad, but he got control after he left the pavement and came to a stop. He had a funny look on his face as I drove by.

I was in 4x4 high range....no problems.

Ice was on everything this AM. Trees limbs sagging. If it hadn't stopped when it did we would have a lot of tree damage. It's 36 here now and it's melting fast.

Thanks and stay tuned. I'll post more over next week and half. I only got 19 sets out yesterday so tomorrow I'll pound in several more. May not catch nothing tonite unless critters move early before ground freezes.

Nice property to trap, by the looks of it. The real question is- how do you keep the back of your truck so clean?!?!? I'd take a pic of the back of mine but it's too embarrassing!

When life gets me down..... you know hunting/trapping season is closed.
