what are you using them for? If it is mostly coyotes I would look into the NO B.S. Jr.

IMO the offset gap in this trap is too wide. I've had issues. Reduce the gap if you're smart.

If coyotes is your game, I'd definitely go with the #3s.

Have pictures of 250 to 300 in Bridger 2's full pad catch. I don't have any problems. No tinkering and all that. Level the pan, shorten chain, swivels to my liking and go trap.

I have had a dozen #3's and I have no complaints at all. I did add an extra swivel but other than that they were ready to go.

Yes dogless, that is the only trap I will use and have for 3 seasons now.Coon, cats, skunks, coyotes, badger it doesn't matter.Go set one, push down on the pan where it hooks the jaw and watch it go snap. Then go push down on the dog on your dog on traps and report back.No dead spot on the pan on the dogless bridgers.Once the pan is set,you rarely have to dink with it again unless to tighten it up after a catch but I don't really worry much about that either when I am busy.I want the skunks and coon so a little loose pan doesn't bother me anyway.Keep in mind,I am on a 24 hour check.

I'd just thought there would be more issue with pull outs. Good to hear.

No dead spot is not always good. Yes I use both dogless and dog on traps.
I prefer the dogless design of the Victor/ Montgomery’s

I use bridger #2 dogless just for coyotes. The pan tension is too high for fox

You don't like it when people post or have a diffent oppinon then you do you tbn? Why is that I have read quit a few post of yours and you are always right never wrong. You are 100% correct about no dead spot, but I have had nothing but problems with the Bridger Dogless number 3. Can't say much for the 2's haven't tried them. Have I made catches with the 3's sure have, have I had pull outs you bet more then I would like. How many pull out were coyotes or cats? Hard to say I know most coon have pulled out with way to much foot damage. Does that mean the Bridger Dogless is a bad trap? nope it mean it don't work for me.

The offset gap is bigger than most and I've lost a few coon here and there but for cat and coyote they work great. A guy could take a grinder and knock down the high side wouldn't take much at all. Still my goto trap

I've been using them for the past 2 seasons and like them. In my opinion, they are a little more work to fine tune than other dog on traps but nothing major. I have the offset modified which have some sharp edges along where the offset starts.

I love the low profile pan that doesn't allow much to get under it when its set level.

Bridger dogless coil springs might not be for everyone's conditions but down here they are turning out to be just about perfect. This is my second winter using them. Only had 1 dozen last year. Have 9 dozen now.

Offset is a bit wide but you can take a hand grinder and take off a small amount at the 4 corners and reduce the gap without affecting lockup.

I file the pan latch to shorten the nighlatch. And adjust pan level.

I put my custom chains on them simply because I have them.

I've always been a "no offset traps" trapper, but these being square jawed, the offset may allow the trap to lock up better on a coyote or bcat foot.

Ive had a few new...out of the box, that had spring too weak. 3 out of 60...so far.

I'm a fan. I bought a dozen #2 and a dozen #3 dogless Bridgers this year just to give them a try also, and I absolutely love them. They bed nice and flat and when dyed and waxed the #2 is a perfect fox/coyote trap IMO. Initially I thought the #2 might not be enough for our larger coyotes, but I have now been proved completely wrong on that; full pad catches on all, and so far only one spring pin bent slightly that I straightened with my pliers. I've released one timber wolf in a #2 also; no damage to trap or wolf. I will have at least another dozen #2s before next fall. smile

Bridger #2 Dogless are my go to trap now. I've been running them for 2 years now. A couple, simple, quick adjustments and they are ready to roll. I have noticed though some I've bought come with the baseplate welded and some were not.
