Thanks for all the feed back. I'll be using them for coyotes. I've expanded my trap line, got permission for two more ranches, and I am always concerned about theft. In the next few years I'll probably be moving so I wanted to go with the number two's and be compliant with most states. Plus I can get more traps in the ground for the price.

I guess I'm in the minority. I may have just gotten a bad batch, but I wasn't impressed with mine. Fit was very rough. Hard to level the pan with the adjustment bolt. Wouldn't move enough. Had to file the back of the pan ALOT just to get enough room between it and the jaw to make the trap fire. Even then, it was exceedingly close. Had a few in the field that wouldn't fire after a catch, and had to be removed to carry home and be worked on. I like the concept for blind and post sets in particular, but I doubt I will be buying anymore

Well...after several years (7 or 8 years) of using B2 dogless, almost exclusively, for southern coyotes and bcats, I'm still satisfied. Ive bought 11 dozen new in box. Took about 3 seasons to completely convert over to this trap. I'm down to 10 dozen due to damage from landowners and loggers. I've had more than a dozen damaged, but have ordered parts and repaired several over the years .

But, there were/are some minor negatives:

1) there were about 10% of the traps (new out of the box) that had noticeably weak springs. I added the Bridger 4-coil springs b4 I used these.
2) I've lost about 5 or 6 coons out of 100. Likely front foot toe catches. Also, the #2 sized square jawed trap allows plenty of room for chewing and the slightly too wide offset jaw gap enables pull outs. This isn't a front foot coon trap, but it performs fine when a backfoot catch is made.
3) this trap (with no laminated jaws) is a little rough on foxes feet, especially grey fox. I have lost a couple of greys, that were likely toe caught, over the years. Again, the wider offset jaw gap contributes to this.
4) over time, several traps have been found to have weakening springs. Not sure if this is related to my initial issue of a few with weak springs when new. I've added 4-coil springs to more than 48 traps out of 132 purchased so far.
5) pan tension loosens with catches...but tightens easily.

The positives:

1) No dogs to get bent!
2) Consistent/crisp firing trap.
3) Easy to adjust pan level and tension (takes about 3 min per trap.)
4) Chains and swivels are sufficient.
5) Very easy and fast to bed solid.
6) Good lockup.
7) Sets very level with minimal tuning.
8) Well built/good steel.

The only mods I've done to mine are, a) the extra springs, b) slightly shortening the pan notch and squaring it up, c) slightly grinding the lower jaw faces to close offset gap some, d) put my custom chains on them...cause I had them from traps I sold.

TAKEAWAY: B2 dogless are pretty good coyote and bcat traps. Jaw lams would make them better grey fox traps. As red fox traps they are good due to their bigger feet. As coon traps = too big of a trap with too wide of offset gap (find a better sized trap for coons.)

… listen to swamp … I run several dozen and they do need 4 coil from experience… got 3 years stock 2 coil then had a few pullouts on coyote and cat .. 2 right as I was walking up

… I ordered enough helpers to get all them 4 coiled wether they need it or not

Insert profound nonsense here

I've been using 4 coiled dogless #3 Bridgers for 8 years. Almost zero issues, with no pullouts. I also laminated them and added another swivel. I've always said, if the Bridger is sprung, there's a critter in it. I also run NoBs Extremes, 4 coiled. They are a beast of a trap. I'll never go back to a dog on canine trap.

My Bridger dogless do a fine job but I already had quite a few of the little Montana Coyote Specials and I love them.
They are easily the easiest traps I've ever used and like LDW, they snap I have fur. It's just that simple.

While I haven't used them IMO any dogless system that has nuts and bolts to adjust pan tension or height is missing the point.

Catch up to modern times.

The best aspect of dogless is NO foot throw out, but....

...the reason I like this adjustable dogless pan system is simple: to be able to adjust pan tension and level. Can't do that with the Victor/Montgomery type dogless system. Pan tension is what it it when the trap is set with a floppy pan.

Bridger #2 and #3 dogless is just about all I run the last few years for coyote. I moved away from my old #2 longs mostly because they don’t make those any more and I use them in my more mixed species areas. Targeting just coyote, I absolutely love my #2 Bridger dogless. The threes grab a little high but I get few misses in them. I use those more in open corn or bean fields. For mowed pasture and other areas I set, I grab the #2s,
Mine are all modified MN Trapline models with laminated jaws. They came four coiled but I took the extra springs off and run them just two coiled.
I have not found a flaw in the #2 Bridger dogless yet. Coyotes, cats, fox, badger, coon, it’s a great trap.
I ask for them specifically now for Christmas or Father’s Day to build up my supply. I wish I had four more dozen of them.
Jim

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Don't own any but notice everyone mentioning weak springs. I order music wire springs and put on any bridger trap i get! Even if springs are ok first year by year two they are week plus they have that goofy L shaped spring, have had coyotes be able to get a tooth under that and flip it off the lever. I finally just quit fooling with it and replace springs with new music wire springs soon as i get the traps out of the box.

Gap being too big, pullouts, etc. Im assuming ya'll are using standard jaws, not laminated jaws?

Yes...none of mine are laminated. I quit all those welding-related mods when my live market days ended.

I know that's what got us southern folks on that kick BUT they do increase holding power! Im still a shock spring advocate was well, ANYTHING that makes it a tad tougher for that joker to get out of the trap im all for it. Do all that work only to have something fail and they escape was something I never could deal with.
