It's normally 25 degrees & higher in my neck of the woods. The past 2-3 weeks have been single digits. In fact, I don't remember it being so cold for so long around here. Ground is completely frozen. My camera's show nothing ! No tracks in the snow.

Raccoons I don't normally see under 25 degrees, but how long can they den up for ? I can't imagine any wildlife not eating or scrounging for food for this long. Especially where the weather patterns are not typically like this.

It's just so unusual not to see anything on my cameras...

I'm south of you in central PA and its the same here. It's been below 0 every morning when I do my checks for the last two weeks. No sign of any kind, except for deer and squirrel. I'm looking forward to next weekend when it's supposed to be in the 40s I hope things are hungry and start moving.

It's been a long sustained cold snap for even here in northern Maine. We can hit twenty and thirty below zero, even colder but we usually don't get these types of temps this early in the year. Haven't seen coon sign in more than a month but the canines are running like crazy.

I thought this long cold snap would be perfect but it has been the slowest week! I think the incredibly bright full moon, clear skies combined with the snow on the ground might be a factor. It's like daylight out there at night.

foothold guy,was just outside and had a pair of reds tear up my little 50 acre farm.worked both sprung remakes and showed me a great post.have took 5 reds and a yote here already this season.been shocked at the sign i've been seeing here the last couple days while out scouting.to say i'm eager to get back out there would be an understatement.

-4 at 9 this morning. Did my checks and had a bobcat zig zag between 3 of my traps spread over 250 feet. It came within 20 feet of all of them and didn't pay any attention to them. Its my first bit of sign in two weeks but today is the last day for cat season here so I'm SOL this year.
