Anybody got an educated guess as to how this could happen? Both spring were straight out with sticks thru the spring ends.

Not as bad as I could be, not as good as I should be.

We're the sticks still in place when you got there? I am guessing bnot and I would say he thrashed a bit and the spring came in he bit it.

Wish I had more time to trap....

The sticks were not in place, he tore the set up. In my limited experience I've not seen this happen before. Thanks for the info.

Its first instinct is to bite. In this case, it was his last.
