Sounds interesting. I'm sure it's good from Jameson's.

I wonder how important it is to use fish oil vs shellfish vs salmon, etc. There is so many different kinds of oils.
I saw 1 place once selling a mix that they called something like Waterway Blend oil. I thought that was kind of interesting.

For high quality formulation work trout oil or paddle fish oil are the best in my experience.

When you use processed fish oils and synthetic oils they wont last as long or keep their properties as long in a formula. My experience with processed fish oils is that they don't blend well with some other ingredients and their chemical base can react to other ingredients creating pressure and gas when aging.

I call them flash ingredients since they may be good when fresh and used quickly but will fade away over time when held in inventory for a period of time.

Trout oil will last forever in odor and in quality if it is good oil. I have some 30 years old and it is still as good as when I drained it off many years ago.

If you want a quality ingredient and expect quality results it doesn't pay to cut corners. That is why some lures don't hold their odor blend as long as others most likely due to sub quality ingredients in the formula. Good quality built products will hold well for decades in a well sealed container in my experience.

If products are exposed to too much air flow or extreme temperature fluctuations then quality and odor can be compromised from the original form.

The best paddle fish oil that I've seen comes from Matt Jones, if you can get any.

paddlefish oil is a good fish oil for several uses. If I couldn't use trout oil, paddlefish oil would be my next choice.
