Morning, I ran across a guy last weekend and he had some traps in the back of his truck that looked like to be 220's and maybe larger. I just briefly spoke and asked if had any luck trapping, and he said he just did it on weekends, etc. around his farm and he had caught some coons and some bobcats. Can anyone shed some light on what the max size body grip trap we can use on dry land in Alabama would be? I thought I had read where it was a 160. "6" opening. I doubt you'll get any refusals with a 160, the game wardens will be more than happen to write you tickets wether it's early or late season. The max jaw spread on a bodygrip used on land is 5".
