Good for you. That $10.00 would have come out of her wages.

My Bride worked at a convenience store 20+ years ago (FYI elktrack, she was, and still is, HOT!)when an older local gentleman bought 2 lotto scratch-off tickets and then handed one back to her. She was uneasy taking it, but the old guy insisted she take it. She relented and told the guy she'd spilt any prize with him if it was a winner. After her shift she scratched it off and it was a $50 winner! A week or so later the guy came back in and she gave him his $25 bucks....HIS $25 bucks is the key here. When my wife scratched the ticket and it was a winner, one of her co-workers begged her not to even tell the guy it was a winner. My wife got peed off at her and told her it was half his money, and all HER WORD to split it. That other woman was later fired for scratching off tickets on the job without buying them.
P.S. board stretcher.....Good on you!

How many hot chicks you see working at convenience stores Marty? Maybe it's different here but it's generally not a characteristic. Just a few, the gym has hot chicks working the check in desk everyday and they are paid to be nice to me...

On a couple different occasions at 2 different scrap metal places, they over paid me by marking down the items that I brought in the wrong categories. I sent a check back both times explaining what happened and returning the difference between the things they marked down and what I really had brought in. Both businesses refused to cash my checks. I'm not writing this to brag but I think it happens so rarely with those businesses, that they were genuinely surprised by the effort.

... That other woman was later fired for scratching off tickets on the job without buying them. Interestingly, the little things are usually indicative of overall integrity. In a similar scenario, someone was debating with me whether to take the high road. “But it’s such a little thing...” I looked at him and said “Do you want to be known as a little bit over-honest or a little bit under-honest?”
