There are a few dozen..maybe more.... Yes there are, what do you consider the "best" is the question. If you were locked in a room with all the John Wayne movies but could only watch one of them, which would it be?

I always liked the shootist, knowing he made that in his condition and the story line of old guy dying of cancer himself. Jim

There is over 100 movies and I don't think I have seen a bad one when I say that I don't mean acting I mean his movies were about making men out of boys showing men how to be a man something you don't see anymore that said the 3 godfathers.
No matter where you go there you are.

I have read from a couple of different sources that when John Wayne started his acting career, he styled himself after Wyatt Earp who had become a friend of his. How young is this country?

Forget John Wayne; Charles Bronson is the way to go! Death Hunt is about Aklavik. You can't beat that. His kid Bronson Picho was good in Beverly Hills Cop to. Yes Death Hunt was good movie, but Charles Bronsons son?? what the (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) are drinking........ In harms way/ war wagon both had kirk douglas couldnt stand the female girl in true grit searchers, in harms way, red river, sands of iwo jima, back to bataan, flying leathernecks we can all agree there will never be another, EVER

My favorite "John Wayne" movie was the remake of True Grit starring Jeff Bridges. Worst remake ever. It wasn’t a remake. It was someone else’s adaptation of the novel. And a pretty good one at that.
