Hey yall we've had some serious rain last 2 days and while checking the flodded creek I'm setting and wishing my traps were not under 5 foot of water a otter surfaced looked at me and took off, well about 60 seconds later a big buck mink pops out of a hole right near were the otter was, first off never got to observe a live mink and that was great, other than the fact I had no sets made forflood stage. But do y'all think the otter was chasing the mink or just a coincidence?

I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was after the mink, but have never witnessed it myself.

I bet the otter and mink were likely taking advantage of the same food source.

I have and have had them tear up live ones that they found in the trap

Think yotes and fox
