Ok, I have been hearing a lot about guys getting fox in their DP traps, what bait are you using to get them? Also using any lure?

I'm not hearing of anyone around here getting foxes in DPs. Maybe it's because of our low fox population, I'm unsure.

I think it matters what trap and bait are being used. What I'd catch in a pull only trigger....like my Dukes baited with a big marshmallow....would be different than a trap with push/pull trigger like my coon daggers baited with a sardine.

I use pull only trigger traps. I have caught cats, skunks and grinners along with coons but none of what was listed above.

I've had customers send me pics of Red Fox and Otter but very rare, skunk, weasel, cat, very common catches in DP's control of intended catch can be controlled by using sweet type baits will catch mostly Raccoon. Personally never got a Fox or otter in DP.

I will be setting DP traps for grey fox this week. I have them hitting the holes now, as soon as deer season slows this week I will be putting them in the ground. Push pull or push traps are easier to get them than pull only. a few can be caught but foot traps and snares are still a lot more productive.
