I want to inform the forum members that Arnie Peterson better known ad "The Jack Pine Savage" could use your thoughts and prayers. He was having some issues with memory and other things so he was taken to the hospital in Big Fork, MN. From there he was transferred to Duluth, MN and diagnosed with "bleeding on the brain". Preliminary diagnosis is this may have happened earlier but they are waiting on the surgeons for a full and complete diagnosis. It has been suggested that they can/will do one of two things which are to drill a hole in the brain of remove a part of his skull to relive the blood-pressure. As I learn more I will keep you informed.

Arnie is out of surgery. Under the knife for several hours. They have everything cleaned up and the surgeon feels his prognosis is good. I'm not sure of the procedure they did but will fill you folks in if and when I learn more. I suspect Dennis or Kathy will call me with any pertinent info. Thanks for your caring.


LATEST UPDATE;
Arnie's wife Kathy just called and Arnie is sitting up in a chair eating. They did remove a 2 inch square piece of his skull to remove the blood mass. The surgeon feels it was there for up to a month. It was behind the ear and went to the brain stem. Arnie you are one lucky man. Prognosis looks good for our friend. Kathy and Arnie have dealt with a lot recently with Kathy's son and also mother passing away recently and I know this is hard on them. I asked Kathy if I could post their address for anyone wishing to send a card and she said I could.

Sorry to hear that, was just talking about him to savell on the phone this past weekend about what he was out doing at his age and us complaining of this and that hurting at our age.

Hope they get him back going, one of the nicest men ive had the pleasure to meet in my travels.

I know he has had a few issues with confusion but the last I was told this morning is things are better.
