I am the same as Ron. Easy to flip the switch on the grinder with the wheels there and touch up whatever blade I have going.

I got the Dunn sharpening system years ago when I got my first Dunn Knife basical it is a two wheel system set up on a bench grinder. I also have a work sharp. When I head to the cabin where no electricity is found I take a Lanskey system and touch up steel, though a bit more time consuming it still provides one of the best edges for me if I put in the time. The others do wear down blades a bit quicker

I use a fold up diamond embossed hone, and a steel if I am skinning at home.

A good stone and strop. Steel to touch up the edge while skinning.

3 sided diamond steel is hard to beat for touch ups. For a dropped on concrete edge, belt sander 100 grit to 80. I've sharpened thousands...literally.

I use a DMT brand diamond stone (use like a regular wit stone) for about every thang, also use some very old wit stones and strop, my dad is a nife maker so if it needs an edge rework it gets a belt grinder! Colt

I've been makeing and selling hand forged knives for probably 5-6 years, and have found progressively finer wet stones to give the best edge. I'll set the edge on my skinning knives with an Arkansas stone, then finish with a leather strop. after skinning u can usually just touch up on the strop of you don't let it get too dull.
Keep your powder dry.
