I don’t target fox but recently had 2 get into the snares. They are really nice reds and the market is not very good, so I plan on skinning, fleshing and put them on boards and have them tanned. I was hoping to do the this weekend, but my adjustable Fox stretchers did not show up today. I have adjustable coyote and coon stretchers, any chance one of them would work or just wait until the right ones show up? Thank you in advance!!

Roll up the hides, wrap them in a plastic bag and toss them in the freezer. Thaw them out after you get your new boards.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

Thanks! The boards are supposed to be here Monday by the looks of it. Can a guy skin and flesh and put in bags and set in the fridge until Monday? I’m fairly new to this, especially fox. I’ve put up around 25 coyotes, few coon and no fox...

They'll be fine. They will be fine for a while if you wrap them tight and get the air out. I just use newspaper to wrap them. I just pulled out a few fox, bobcat, coyote, coon, otter and beaver that have been in the freezer for 3yrs. They were all fine. One of the fox needed to be rehydrated but it was only because it was on top and fleshed.
